Stuff to Catch up

Okay. First of all, movies:

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: If you loved the first movie with Gene Wilder, then I'm not so sure you should see this one, as it is almost completely different from the original, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. The oompa-loompa's are very different, and their songs seems kind of silly. Other than that, it's an interesting storyline, and if you're into Tim Burton movies, then go see it, by all means.

The Godfather: All about the Italian mafia. Well, one family in particular. Not really a lot of violence, but some movies are just better that way. Unfortunately, I fell asleep during part of it, but not because it was boring... I was just really tired. REALLY tired. The setting is pretty dark, although some of it was probably contributed by my watching of it on my computer. Interesting plot, and not something I usually watch, but it is a great movie.

The Godfather, Part 2: About the same family, different leader. Still a little dark in some places though, but all in all, it is as good a movie as the first one. Although the flashbacks are a little confusing sometimes, as they do not always tell the audience that it's going on, it is still a good watch. I think I may have fallen asleep, again not because it was boring. I should stop being really tired when I watch these things. Quite a long movie, but with all the plot they had to work with, it was worth the length. Again, the movie does not have as much action, when compared to action movies today, but it has a lot more plot to it. You, go see if you have seen the first one! And you, who has not seen the first one, Go See It!

War of the Worlds: Now, I did not read the book, and I would have loved to have heard the radio broadcast, but I thought it wasn't too bad. Movies that are based on books or other classic movies tend to be excruciatingly ridiculed if it lingers from the path of the original book/movie/whatever. Quite a lot of action, as it should have been from what I have heard of the radio broadcast, although I did not care for the children characters. But, it was an interesting movie, and it's not surprising that they made it, as making movies from books and other forms of media seem to be the style lately.

Boondock Saints: A really good movie about a couple of Irish lads making a difference. With guns. Pretty talented shooting, from most of the characters. It's about getting revenge on the Russian mafia, and an FBI agent trying to find out what is going on. And he does a pretty good job too. Although, Willem Dafoe is a pretty scary character FBI agent. But, go see this movie. It is hella-good! I promise. If you are into this sort of movie, which you should be!

The Cell: Although it stars J-Lo, it is still a pretty good/crazy-go-nuts movie about a serial killer, and a social worker. It is about delving into the mind of people using machines and crazy new technology. Some dark scary/creepy scenes, and others that look downright painful. Go see it if you want to, most of the scenes are quite interesting to watch and/or cringe at. Seriously. Creepy.

And that's all the movies I can remember watching right now.

Next week is my 19th birthday! Hooray! Alas, I will not be celebrating in a drunken stupor, partly because I don't drink that much, and also because the liquor store is going on strike tomorrow. I guess many livers will be happy about that. Tasty, tasty livers. I should really start remembering to update this thing, as it is almost the only way I ever communicate my thoughts online. As is the blog's purpose.

So, I shall try to remember to update more often, for the many ghost and non-existant readers who read this. That, and I can't remember every movie I have seen in about a month to put them all down at once on this thing.

So long for now.
